During the initial inspection we will: work with necessary parties to ensure that the cause and origin site remains undisturbed, establish an agreed upon scope of work, document all personal property items, and determine what can be salvaged and cleaned from smoke damage. In addition, our team will board up all openings, temporarily cover the roof, install emergency power systems and utilize temporary fencing to completely secure the property. We also use specialized deodorization equipment to help remedy smoke and odor damage and bring your home or business back to its original glory. WATER
Whether you are dealing with a wet ceiling from a leaking roof or several feet of standing water, our team makes it their top priority to quickly determine the appropriate emergency response to the water damage event. During the initial inspection, we will: determine the source of the water intrusion and take steps to inhibit it, determine the type of water damage sustained, determine the extent of damage to the building/contents and document all the aforementioned. In addition, our teams will utilize specialized detection equipment such as moisture sensors, moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to help determine the appropriate protocol for the situation & complete moisture mapping as necessary. These crucial first steps are essential in addressing any loss from a water event Once the individualized protocol is set, A1 Construction utilizes water extractors, wood floor rescue mats, wall cavity dryers, air moving equipment, inject a drying technology and dehumidifiers to rapidly dry the area and inhibit microbial growth. Monitoring of the equipment will continue until the moisture has been removed and the relative humidity is back to normal levels. This scientific & directed approach is important to reducing damages and preventing microbial growth, which can occur if left untreated. Microbial growth can occur within 48-72 hours of water impact on a building.
